NBA Live 10 First Look (IGN)

IGN has posted their first look at NBA Live 10.

	"The NBA Live series has pretty much been in the crapper over the last few years. EA will never admit it, but no one is happy with the direction the series has taken. All the while the NBA 2K series has continued to widen the gap of quality between the two. That could all change this season. Having acquired Mike Wang from 2K Sports to be the lead gameplay designer for NBA Live 10, the game is already showing the benefits of having someone with experience making a grade-A b-ball product. I was only given a brief look at gameplay during my time at EA Sports' studio in Vancouver, but there's no question that improvements on the old way of doing things have already been made."

After reading most of the previews It seems like most writers are walking away unsure or hopeful. It must have been a VERY brief look at the game. Glad they touched on the fluidity a bit in this though.

Reason for that is because of past games. And how the developers have shown and said things about the game, but they didn't really pan out in the final version.

Yea, it was VERY brief according to all that I've read prior to the postings on Op. Spts. Kinda hard to go off that and listen to the usual rah-rah EA has been giving every year about their sports games but I will say that I also believe that the Live team doesn't want to play too much of their hand to the press because of 2K. EA could do that with Madden because Madden is the ONLY sim football game in town, these days.

I like what I have been reading, though, about how they are attacking gameplay and fluidity plus increasing the animations. Even Mike had said in an interview in April that 2K was masking a lot of issues by piling on the animations where as here, he says there is a lot of great AI logic that needs to be fleshed out with more animations. I have to admit, that statement about adding animations to flesh out the AI is odd but I am not a game dev or designer so I truly don't have a clue as to what that really means.
I look forward to how this game pans out. I want them to get back in the game with Live.

Yea im frustrated, but then again i guess no blog because of all the info they put out today, BUT, im tired of them saying that there will be a blog but then again they dont put it up. IM TIRED OF THAT LOL.

I see. Lol. Breathe bro. There should be some sort of 'valid' explination. Plus they are running on western time. Its about 8:34pm in Vancouver.
