Stuff I already knew but I guess the release date of the demo is "official" for those GameStop employees who had their stuck between their butt.

Seems to be 'going gold' so late this year. I wonder what happened to "The game has to be finished (gold) two months in advance..." lingo we were fed last year?

I don't mind it if they ironed out problems. Now I can constructively begin on the defensive wishlist for next year.

Oh I don't mind at all! But if I can recall, Phil made it sound as if it was a MUST that the game go gold in June to meet the August release date. I remember several threads where guys were like, "Why is the game going gold so early?" The assumption is made that additional improvements were made to Madden '10 and I don't object in the least bit. But that begs the question, why were we fed that information a year ago about the 'going gold' deadlines?

When do we get the Gamestop Demo?

I thought it was supposed to come out before the regular demo?

Maybe they knew 09 would be garbage so they wanted to get an early start on 10?

That is what we are still figuring out. Signs point to tomorrow but not sure if the signs are right.

Even though he said that it was BS...I remember them saying that about going gold then due to the NCAA release they were able to fix some things in MAdden09 well after saying they were gold. This year is probably a real gone gold date. It matches the amount of time NCAA went gold. I would imagine they were on similar software development roadmaps.
