It's sad though, that this game has disappointed so many people before release to the point where once faithful NCAA fans would kick Ben's *** if they saw him on the street.

As far as the video...welcome back roboqb. That's all I have to say.
It really that serious that someone would fight someone over a video game?? If so that's just sad

I really think I'm done. This game looks like ****, not even well formed ****. It;s surreal this is being released.
Yup, same here. NCAA was my all-time favorite video game series. And I would be the same way. I would try to start a dynasty with a new, fresh team or revive my previous dynasties that I stopped playing with, but a lot of times within 10 minutes, I was bored and I would play Gears of War or do something else.

It's really pathetic. It's like they're too busy trying to cater to younger fans and casual fans, with game modes like Mascot Mode and Season Showdown. To the average NCAA gamer, that may sound 'cool'. It's almost like they've forgotten the hardcore, veteran fans or hope they buy the game because: A) it's the only college football game on the market B) we've been buying their games since PlayStation days and C) b/c we love college football so much, we have to buy these games to get our fix, and are banking on that, while they rope in younger/casual fans.

And that has held true for me since their first piece of crap known as NCAA 07, but last year I bought the game used from Gamefly and this year...iono. I bought every title since '99, and now for 2 years in a row, I'm not buying it. At the very least I'm canceling my pre-order for the 2nd year in a row. It's almost like they've refused to make this a sim by catering to younger fans and causal fans who don't care about equipment details, presentation and formation subs, gameplay among other things most NCAA veterans have enjoyed in the past and desire now.

Whatever.

That's what some of you guys dont get of course their gonna cater to the Casual gamer first, it's becoming a trend they want to make it easy to pick-up for everyone to play that's where most of the sales come from "Casual gamers"

That looked terrible. Some of the other vids looked really good though.

I don't know, we will see what happens.

No, I get that perfectly, and I can understand that, what I'm saying is in the process, they are forgetting the veteran gamers and relying on us to make the purchase year in and year out.

Exactly. Thy even come on multiple forums acting like they want to interact and give the veterans what they want but don't go through with their words. I swear it looks like there is no pocket on half of the plays, there is no pressure, you can't even tell adaptive a.i. is there, and the cpu playcalling and execution is still average at best.

Then they have the nerve to act like they don't know how negativity is surrounding the game. There was a twitter post last night saying the demo comes out thursday but I don't know if it'll help with all of the negativity in the community.

It's their fault it's like that. It doesn't have to be like this, we don't want it to be.

Yeah they do rely on us to buy that i agree with! i've bought this game every year since 03 and it has become very old spending $60 on a game that's broken but what can we do it's only game in town if you wanna get a college fix sadly. This is the first year where i haven't play NCAA up to the release of the next one i get bored after 10 min of this game and i'm a die-hard college fanatic!

Hey man, you're preaching to the choir. Iono, maybe when we get our hands on the game, it'll be better than what we've seen.

That's the ticket. Breathe in the positives and breathe out the negatives. Its time for the users on this forum to cleanse our bodies of the negative toxins in this game.

EXAMPLES:

NEG - WVU and Tenn uniforms are off color
POS - Well at least they are wearing uniforms

NEG - Pass rush sucks
POS - Well, at least we can still get sacks 50% of the time on ****ty screen passes

see i knew you guys had it in ya! now we just need to spread the positive vibes to the rest of the board!

"Great job running the football by this guy"-gotta love that line

I had to watch this as a WV fan and there really wasn't much positive that I saw. Not much atmosphere and then a few gameplay things that worried me...

3:55, QB standing with 20 yards of open space in front of him, and instead of scrambling forward he stands there and takes a sack. It seems like sacks are going to be 'coverage sacks' and not from actual pressure this year, except on screens.

4:10-swing pass to HB at about 100 mph under pressure falling back (somebody mentioned this already, but it's pretty annoying and worth another mention. Most HBs couldn't catch a bullet like that and no QB could throw that hard)

Some of the incompletions that aren't deflected seem to be somewhat forced... the routes aren't opened yet, the QB isn't really being hurried, but he throws it in 2 seconds anyway. Then usually they are getting passes off very quickly anyway. There's only like one instance of this in this video, but the Florida one had a few more.

6:15 and 6:45- more perfect fastballs off balanced

There are 3 full possessions in the last 2 minutes, and they keep throwing short over the middle, like at 6:55 with only 14 seconds left and no timeouts, they throw quickly over the middle in bounds, hurry up and do it again with 8 seconds left, etc. No need to actual;y spike it since they can hurry to the line in no time with a new play called. I remember Madden on PS2 the CPU would always do fake spikes, I really hope it's not overdone this year.

absolutely NO pressure. I don't care if neither team has a great pass rush, those QBs could have had a minute back there. And what's with only rushing 3, I mean I know at the end it was more of a prevent D, but with 3 down linemen, you usually send at least one extra guy, the point being that the QB won't know where that extra guy is coming from.

Also no way UL scores 28 on WVU in a single half next year. Pshhh and no way their QB is that good.

Well, I'd say how bad that was, but I'm glad everyone's done it already. The bad passes must be on some formula where it's just every once in....9 throws, there's gonna be a horrible one. That strike over the middle into double coverage is pretty terrible. The next play is almost as bad...the TE must get zoned backwards because he is running and suddenly backs up a yard or so to make the catch on the ball behind him. That's a completely horrible animation.

The plays with no pass rush don't bother me too much. They all seemed to be with a 3 man rush. 3 DL against 5 OL shouldn't equal much pressure. The bad part is that someone always gets open despite there being 8 to cover 5, although I guess if you have long enough that would happen. The QBs not taking off to run where there is no one in front of them is pitiful. He just stood there and waited until he got sacked instead of running for 10 yards. Sad. Screens look worse and worse every time I see them.

The fake spike pass to the RB...apart from the fact that RBs are going to lead every team in receptions it appears, the defenders running into eachother to allow a TD is a scary reminder of the abominable defense from last year.

This is the one more bad video I needed to confirm I am not buying this. I'll see how everyone feels about it after a patch comes out to fix all this junk, and I would really hope there would be. Without singling anyone out, I am baffled anyone looked at that and saw it positively as a whole. I wish my standards for the game were low enough that this video met them. That's very...impressive?

Barring some big price reduction which won't happen, I can't see how this is worth it....and there are still 2 videos I haven't seen yet. Some human vs AI videos need to pop up, and they'd better be beyond spectacular to change my mind at this point. Devs should probably consider not letting us see anything about this game pre-release. Hope springs eternal but they's squashing my hope.

Agreed. Nothing I've seen warrants praise, yet I still see it.

Why does it matter? You're opinion is that the game looks terrible. I'm looking forward to it. Why should I try and change your mind?

I mean, lets be honest...if I tell you why I'm looking forward to the game, then I'll have person after person (ok maybe only a handful) jump my case and tell me how wrong I am, how my expectations are low, why I'm the reason the game is in the shape that it is, call me a fanboy, say that I'm a sheep, etc....etc...etc..

Read thru this thread in particular....claims such as those are already being made in general statements.

Whats the point? I like it...I'm spending my $60 on it...why can't people accept that?

I will agree with this. There doesn't seem to be a hit in passing speed based on the throwing position. The pass protection has been too strong and QBs aren't scrambling when they should. I hope I can fix the pass protection with sliders but QBs not scrambling can not be fixed with sliders.

I'll be stiking to my PS2 version yet again. The graphics look fine to me, but the gameplay is severely lacking. What a shame. When do EA's exclusive rights end???

Don't you know you're supposed to go with the popular opinion? If "everyone else" thinks it sucks then you have to feel the same way, it's not about an individual having their own ideas or opinions.

Where did I deny the problems?

Just because I'm looking forward to the game doesn't mean that I believe its perfect. And once again..I like the game, its my money that I'm spending on it...why can't people just accept that? Why do I have to "have low expectations?"

You say you have nothing against me, but yet you have no issue tossing my name out there in an attempt to make me out as some bad guy. You have no issue with stating that I "must have low expectations" and basically saying that I deserve to have people jump my case simply because I'm positive towards a game that you're/they're not.
