PS3 Price Cut in August Timed with Madden Launch?

The good news is that Sony may be preparing to lower the price on PS3 this August in order to take advantage of the launch of EA Sports' Madden, which is always an event unto itself. Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia reports in his latest industry note that �industry sources indicate Sony is planning a $100 price cut on the PS3 in mid-August, just prior the launch of Madden (8/18) and the start of the back to school shopping season. This will naturally be a positive for the industry."

+1. The ps3 has great exclusives. Even after the 360 stole ff13 and mgs (yeah im still bitchin about it). Gow3 is gonna be great no doubt. Just look at its history, duh. MAG is gonna be shweet. ffvs13 should be better than ff13 and ff14 looks promising too. i wish they'd make another heavenly sword. MGS4 was a great effin game too, and i'm not even a mgs fan. I just wish they'd get home up to where it needs to be and stop all of that damn loading time $#!^. If they did that and allowed actual talking ability in it instead of texting. and if they made it a seamless experience with online gaming it'd punish the 360's live...... "If."
