So the top stories are about injuries and therefore the entire franchise mode looks bad...wow. just wow.

Here ya go from ian's Twitter 20 seconds agio:
"no highlights in the extra point..tough call but we wanted something (recaps) over nothing. They will be added in DLC, patch, or 11"

What other types of stories would you be looking for in a video game? Player arrests?

Forget every major feature and fixes that they made for this game! If the top stories are injuries then I am not buying this game!

All people can do is bash Ian and crew work. It;s great franchise addtion. I have no problem. If you don't like it then don't by it that simple. No onr is twisting your arm to buy it. The presention looks great compared to 2k5.

I know I was, but it didn't have that same "it" factor that it did in year one.
Now, maybe on the next gen (current gen?) they can make much, more more highlights, which would lead to more replay value.
I think my thing is this...is the Extra Point Show an actual SHOW...like NFL 2K5's Sportscenter...or is it just a excellent, convenient menu system? If it's the former, where we get Fran Charles giving us (with his voice) updates on injuries, news around the league, weekly awards, free agency info, a draft preview, who's a draft sleeper, who's stock is up and down...then that's a success.
If it's the latter, then it's a great way to concentrate a large volume of info into one space, but it's an immense disappointment from what we all wanted--which was a SHOW that made it feel like the NFL league that we play in week after week, year after year, is alive and constantly changing.

Not too big of an issue for me, I prefer the discussion of big stories more so than highlights of big plays.
Still only seen about 30 seconds of it, but as far as I can tell the host will basically say welcome to XP show and then maybe run down of big stories or upcoming games and then a whole bunch of quick link to stats. I'm ok with that.
How often will you actually watch highlights of a team doing a Wild Cat or Hail Mary touchdown?
And who knows, they may even have weekly interview with players or something, where they ask a player questions? That'd be cool.

Nobody is asking for anything that they shouldnt expect..Its a highlight show..without highlights??..I see you on the board praising everything that ian does..and thats nice of you..but can you man up just a little bit and be realistic? for you..not for me.
edit: ok maybe for me too..because it kind of disgust me.
