SBK Superbike News Post

Xbox gamers haven’t had a hard time uncovering decent motorcycle racing games over the past few years. The MotoGP series was one of the first to grace the fledgling Xbox Live service, and it provided me with many hours of fun online competition.

As subsequent releases came down the pipeline, less about the titles felt fresh and new to me. Each new version of MotoGP felt familiar, and I found myself losing interest earlier than expected. Couple that with the fact that THQ changed the developers of the MotoGP series, which some would say affected the quality level, and you have the perfect time for Superbike World Championship (SBK) to move in and challenge for a spot in the marketplace.

Excellent, well-conceived and executed review.

Great review, I really do not have an issue with the A.I though. They race me pretty clean and hard and will take other lines when appropriate (could be a difficulty thing).

If you are a sim racing fan this game is must have. Best $20 I have spent on a console racing game

Thanks, guys. I appreciate hearing that. I hate that this game has almost no publicity. I have a feeling that the rash of recent flaming turd motorcycle games have people uneasy, and to see one at $20 it instantly gets grouped as an even bigger turd.

I'm definitely a "car" guy first, although I can generally hold my own on the bikes. I'm glad to hear that they race you cleanly, though. I know I can chalk it up to my own error and line correction, but when I'm racing them they put so much pressure on me that I invariably screw up.
