NCAA Football 10 News Post

EA has posted another NCAA Football 10 blog covering the strategy of Season Showdown. There is also a new video clip, right here.

Quote:
"It used to be that you could sit back, call the same play over and over again, and just "out athlete" your opponent. It used to be that you could hop around the playbook jumping from I Form, to Ace, to Shotgun without a care in the world for creating an offensive identity. And it used to be that you could know exactly what your opponent was going to know, know exactly how you would stop it, but didn't have a way to tell your players that that without a doubt the next play is going to be a run to the right, go shut it down.

Thankfully those days are behind us. With NCAA Football 10 strategy takes on a huge role with three new gameplay features that put the emphasis on out thinking your opponent instead of just out maneuvering him on the sticks. By gameplanning, setting up plays, and keying in on what you think the offense will be running you can affect the outcome of the game just based on your coaching decisions."

How in the h**l do you make Dez Bryant (#1 for Oklahoma State) WHITE?!?!?!

http://www.okstate.com/sports/m-foot...ant_dez00.html

I could understand maybe getting the race wrong on a player on a small team, but we are talking about one of the best WR in the game. There is only one #1 on Oklahoma State's offense and it's him. To me, that is unbelievable.

One last thing, those two don't look like they have played a lick of football lol. At least Ian has some potential that he could have
lol +1,000,000

I was so psyched while watching that play. I liked the way the ball looked in flight, I thought the catch looked nice, but I had a big "WHAT THE ****" moment when they zoomed in on WR #1

Thank you. Can panic attack mode please stop now Cowboy fans? Geez. He's not even close to white. Close-up or far away.

he looks white in the screen shot. Dez Bryant is almost burnt in real life so I can see why he is complaining but it doesn't matter because you have the ability to change his complexion.

I just noticed something I absolutely LOVED. Watch LT #76 on the Ok St TD pass. He'll likely be one of the highest rated OT's in the game. Watch how wide he pushes out that Defensive End. DOMINATE. BEAST. ITS THE ****ING CATALINA WINE MIXER BRENNAN! POW!

Solidice- I could run/pass commit right, left, middle in 09. I don't know what 09 game YOU were playing...

It seems you defend everything EA is doing with the NCAA series. As long as people are defending the direction this series is going, it will going to go down the drain.

Not exactly. That was just "Pass Commit" and "Run Commit". You couldn't highlight a WR or try to blow up the play right or left. This appears to be different than just shifting your DL.

Sorry, but no you couldn't. You could just angle the DL. They wouldn't exactly "crash" right or left or middle. If you think it was there, then the mechanic was severely broken. Look at the overpursuit in the video. It's much different than in '09.

I wonder if once a play is set up will it be set up for the rest of the game???

don't see how he looked white in that screen shot. NCAA only has 3 skin colors, light, medium, and dark. looks like he was set to medium in that video.

Hey, I'm not panicking. It's an easy fix. But that is not even close to his skin tone. The WR #1 I know and love (and whose jersey I'll be wearing in BPS on Sept. 5th) is a pretty dark dude.

I just wanted to post a picture of him

And those three choices light, medium, and dark are just the bases. If you look at dark 1 compared to dark 18 there is a major difference solidice.

LOL. I know. I'm busting chops. I like Dez too. Dude is a freak! And dark as midnight, so I feel where you are coming from.

um, no. you could only run/pass commit, not commit to a direction. you could crash the DL, but that is not the same as this.

That what I meant, the commit stick. It really sucked to use it.

oh, I honestly never spend much time adjusting those, so I wouldn't know.

but I know he wasn't white in that video.

I agree he is too light though.

I don't know why it matters whether Dez Bryant is white or black because when the Dawgs come to Stillwater he'll be black and blue.
