But madden will win out at the end of the day.
I really don't give an arse who 'wins' ...if I get a good football game - I WIN. That's all I care about. I can't stand fun-house mirror madden, and I've finally stopped playing all-pro, so bring it. The atmosphere seems great, and if it plays well and makes sense AND has a franchise mode - i'll be there (get it?)

I would have picked up all pro if it had a franchise mode. I am a franchise whore.

is it me? or do these videos look like the madden "target" videos a couple years back? I really hope this game is legit....I'm amped even though there is little info regarding this game.

E3 Demo possibility? I see a 50% chance.

I'm impressed with the tackles and stuff, but it's time for some real gameplay videos. Like I said over at the BB board, if I got something that's suppose to be better than sliced bread, I want the whole world to know about it. It's time to talk the talk.

Video looks good, my main concern is how well do English guys know American football. Since the animation and physics pretty much handles itself, they can pay alot of attention to AI, hopefully they have some good football minds helping them.

that's what I like about what I've seen and why I've been following the game. Madden made a target render and ignored it completely - it didin't even play the most minor of roles in influencing their next gen games.

With backbreaker, you had those blue guys doing tackles and the goal from the start was to get that on the field experience and that seems to be what they are shooting for without compromise.

That's why even with flaws it should be a really exciting game.

This looks to be fun but I am not looking at it as being the best football game ever. I dont believe in one football game you can make it better than anyone else has. Also, worries me how the cb reacts as the wr catches the ball. I look at this as being an arcade football game that I will be able to enjoy and offer something different from Madden.

I hope they tone down the diving tackles it reminds me of tecmo bowl. The running back trying to maintain his balance looked very good.

I think more people should start looking at this as an additional purchase rather than an either/or with Madden. Backbreaker looks like being my 'drinking beer with the lads' game. Should be easy to pick up and play, entertained for those watching the others play and filled with lots of spectacular moments to get some trash talking going.

Madden is for the NFL license and the franchise. And I'm happy that all my footballing needs will be met for the year!

well i dont kno if anyone knew but from wikipedia (i know sometimes they're not a good source) Euphroria was used on GTAIV. The physics on that game was amazing.

Euuphroia is the engine used on backbreaker.

On the one pass play, it looked bad. The CB just stood there looking at the WR, just like in Madden.
