Am I the only one that noticed the risk and reward gameplay menu? Pause the "gameplay" video at 0:19, seems like you can choose how you want your defense to play: Aggressive, Balanced, or Conservative with advantages to each one. Pretty cool stuff.

EDIT: Guess I wasn't, a thread was created.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm very impressed. I expected it to be a half-arsed feature similar to that of past gen consoles, everything done in game from templates. But this is amazing!

Now I'm wondering if this is going to be able to be expanded to regular roster editing. Is it feasible for us to add alternate or different jerseys to teams already in the game? And what are the limits? Is there a limit as to how many alternate unis one team can have? I might get tired at staring at those hideous VT jerseys so I might want to go back to the old ones or make a couple modifications.

If you a-holes crash their servers on release day I will be very upset. I gotta have me some App. St.!

The *only* thing I didn't see on the roster editing page was home state/towns for players. Even still, I am very much ready for this game.

Question about that: On NCAA 09, after a player isn't a freshman anymore, I can't find anywhere that their home state/town is listed. Does that data even get stored for the player's whole career, or does it only exist with the prospect rank/grade data?

I know how you feel! I believe they said that they're going to open the website a little bit before release date though so you can start creating the teams and have them ready to go for when you get the game. Hopefully that will allow them to judge how the servers are going to handle the load when the game does get released and people who don't know about the feature beforehand start jumping on and creating teams.

Yea, I think allowing us to create teams beforehand will certainly help with the bandwidth. If my Gamestop does a midnight release then I can definitely download my team(s) before a ton of people log on and potentially cause problems.

I will be creating the Undefeated 04 Utah team, and the Undefeated 08 Utah Team.

I have 3 major teams to create,

Kingsport Cougars
Parkway Dragons
Boston Skyhawks

All with full rosters..i'm gonna work on them as much as i can until the EA Sports World or whatever it is opens.

looks like you can create 2 different helmets, 4 jerseys, and 2 pants.

so how would that work? the primary pants will be assigned to the home/away with primary helmet, then the alt pants assigned to the home alt/away alt with alt helmet? or will you be able to mix-n-match?

and your only able to have 2 different pants?

man we need this to be released already.

OMT, will the created team's endzone be applied to bowl endzones?

# 36 Solidice @ 04/24/09 11:43 PM
for the generic rosters for TeamBuilder, from the video you can see Ait It Out, Average Joes, and Cupcake as choices. he didn't go far enough down the list to see more.

also, just noticed an option that says "chew clock" on the play call screen, as well as a "game plan" option there.

Wow this feature might have sold it for me. So many possibilities go along with this.

We just got back from the events late last night, so I'm still catching up on posts and emails...

But really quick the 12 team "limit" is only how many teams you can have downloaded on your console at one time; not how many you can create on the web. So you can create 43 teams online (for example, there is not currently a limit) and just download the 12 you want to use.

Also I think the marketing guys are looking into a pre-order deal where you can download more teams onto your console at once.
