EA sent this piece of info over to us, and we thought it was pretty interesting. So, we decided to share it with you all as well. Read below to see what EA has to say about what happens to Boston's DNA once Starbury is added to the Celtics.

After adding Marbury to the Celtics in NBA Live 09, there were a few notable team DNA changes.

Isolation: 10%
Pick and Roll Ball Handler: 25%
Pick and Roll Roll Man: 7%
Post up: 13%
Spot up: 26%
Off-Ball Screen: 4%
Cuts: 15%

BEFORE the pickup, the TEAM DNA is:

Isolation: 9%
Pick and Roll Ball Handler: 21%
Pick and Roll Roll Man: 9%
Post up: 14%
Spot up: 25%
Off-Ball Screen: 4%
Cuts: 18%

Marbury’s INDIVIDUAL DNA is:

Isolation: 23%
Pick and Roll Ball Handler: 49%
Pick and Roll Roll Man: 0%
Post up: 0%
Spot up: 21%
Off-Ball Screen: 3%
Cuts: 4%

EA Sports: This data tells us that when the Celtics add Marbury to their team, they gain the benefit in the PG isolation game because 23% of the time, Marbury’s in isolation. The C’s also see a jump in their Pick and Roll game too because Marbury is an astounding 49% pick and roll ball handler. They see a decrease in post up play because they have a scoring first mentality PG in Steph who spends more time with the ball rather than dishing it down low to KG or giving Pierce and Ray Allen their touches. Steph is known to be a shooter first. This looks like it may hurt the variety of the Celtics offense if Marbury joins them, but may improve their production on the bench.

LOL Deadly.

I'm not sure how this rating works.... It makes the assumption that how Marbury has been used in the past is the way he would be used if he were on the Celtics? That's an assumption I probably wouldn't make...

Helli,

While you make good points, I think the reason Marbury is considered a "risk" is because he hasn't changed in his past, so that assumption was made based on the old Steph.

If he can prove to be a team player and not an interruption, then it's moot.

His debut game tonight was a success in only 13 mins of playtime.

So all the haters can quit the madness lol. He even got a standing ovation from the crowd. Celtics fans love him already and he proved to be a good team player tonight, not only with team work and points but with good attitude assist and efforts.

He a 3 time all-star hopefully he can regain his name in a positive way with the Celtics.

P.S. Steph, time to get those accessories and shoes right, I saw a lot of changes on the Pacers bench and Celtics than whats in game.

Also where is Cleveland's Yellow Jerseys and those ones that Indiana was wearing tonight?

Yep, me too. We don't have those jerseys in-game this year. And some of the shoes we don't have either. If we did, they'd be on

Also, feel free to write it down in the Roster / Accessory thread below.

all the marbury critics need to just shut up and give the dude a chance to show he can play.
No, it's not really messed up. He's taking into account Marbury's past actions. Not only with the Knicks but with other teams. While given him a chance is OK he still can cause problems going by his past. I'm a big Celtics fan but there's the thought in my mind when will he screw things up?

I know he didn't like the Knicks but how's he gonna react when times aren't good in Boston? I do think he knows he's in the right place now. He actually has a good chance for a championship & I do feel he'll be a solid addition to the team. I just hope nothing flares up in Boston before the entire season is over. Heck, he's getting $1.2 million for the rest of this year & still owed by the Knicks. He's gotta be a happy camper now, right? Thanks!
