NCAA Football 10 News Post

Pasta Padre has posted a article called Top NCAA Football 10 Cover Athlete Candidates.

Quote:
"The only defensive player to ever be on the cover of the NCAA Football franchise was Charles Woodson and there doesn’t look to be anyone this year that has the potential of breaking the trend of offensive players receiving the honor. QBs have been selected more often than any other position by far with RBs and WRs trailing."

Just an idea, but seeing as OLine/DLine interaction will be a primary focus this year, I'm inclined to think the might go with a lineman. Brian Orakpo??? Unlikely, just a thought.

If I were a betting man I'd go with Crabtree.

I wish they would do the multiple covers again. It gave a guy like Owen Schmitt (sp?) a chance to be on a cover of a popular video game. Too bad that may never happen again. As much as Madden used to find an athlete that best personified the latest and greatest feature to that years game, NCAA has done the polar opposite. It would be nice to see someone like Rak or Jason Smith (Baylor OT thats skyrocketing up the draft boards) get the cover, but more than likely its Pat White or Crabtree. Darkhorse candidate: Shon Greene or LeSean McCoy

If cheesy, wide-open gameplay with no D is gonna be the theme again, they should have the entire Big-12 on the cover. lol

Yeah, we were wondering amongst ourselves what it will take for Tebow not to get the cover for 2011.

Injury and redshirt maybe?

Considering the Tebow factor in 11, hopefully it's NOT Percy this year............

I have no idea who will be the cover athlete this year.

# 17 CLEAR17 @ 03/17/09 11:00 PM
The easy choice is Crabtree because i believe he is the most recognizable face coming out this year.

If EA goes defense i pick Aaron Curry

Offense- Crabtree

Or
Shock everyone and put Joe Paterno on the cover!!!(joke)

Adam, how about putting a coach on the cover? Or a former coach? Like Lloyd Carr or Bo Schembechler(may he R.I.P.) or embrace college football tradition and put Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes on the cover and say "The Ten-Year War" on top of it. That would be embracing college football tradition.

Go Blue!!!!!!!
