Chipper took a strike! Haha...Looked good once again. Would be cool if they could wear their own team jersey's like they do in real life, but no biggie.

I agree with you here. I am really impressed. Even the hit to LF field looked really nice. I just hope the CPU does not swing at everything as has been shown most of the videos. Alot of people are getting concerned over this. Anyways, I think VC has taken a step in the right direction.

That throw A-rod makes, I've never seen it before. If that situation happened in 2k8, the third baseman would've taken too much time throwing to second thus nullifying the triple play. This year's game has this nice quick throw

That was sweet. Steve, when do you plan on giving us your impressions?

PS. Why, Why, WHY are they wearing those idiotic AL/NL jerseys? This isn't the Home Run Derby. Each player should be wearing their normal team uni.
If I recall correctly, it has something to do with not being able to program each individual jersey at an all star game. The game would chug horrendously trying to load the textures for each different team uniform. I believe that either came from one of the devs from SCEA or 2k, or both. Wish I could dig up the post. Either that or I am losing it

It was from the 2k dev chat last week. I think it's really minor.

Yes inquiring minds would like to know, and that pitching view is awesome

Nice looking video. 2k9 is looking pretty good. Can't wait to try out the demo.

I would not could it as bull, with this engine. They had to strip out so much already to get it to where it runs now.

And a texture isnt a texture isnt a texture, when said texture is unique and cost more memory for each one.

I don't ever recall a baseball game having the individual jerseys in the all star game. I def could be wrong though.

Anyway, is this really a big deal?

The only game I've ever seen it in is power pros, but that's because they don't have these detailed textures, so loading a different jersey for every player on the field won't slow the game down FPS wise like it would in a game with detailed textures(like 2k and the show).

Wow, that was nice. Love the grass on Busch Stadium.

nevermind that no other baseball game has ever done such a thing, but when it comes to 2k9, it'd better have!! and it better do your taxes too huh!?

Anybody hear the crowd, The commentary sounds like the best in a sport game (next-gen) The show is there but they have long detailed segments i think it repeats a little too much for the personel and time they have. Granite we have not heard 2k's but it sounds so natural

That does look good but I'm sad to see Chipper lacking his signature toe-tap.

Great vid and now I gotta say it, this game visual reminds me of one of the later iterations of the Hardball series. It looks like what Hardball would if it was made today.

I hope there's enough oldies here that know what game i'm talking about LOL

Bringing back some memories now. I played Hardball to death, back in the day.
