I wonder what it means for us North American users.

Yeah really. We just got the last update in January.

Apparently, this is out, but not for North America. I was sure we would still have a wait, but I checked this morning just in case.

Konami only released the patch yesterday, they said that the Transfer update will come out later this week. Again N.A won't get it for a long while.

Ah ha, damn people and their misinformation.

Sounds like faster gameplay after the patch, although I have a feeling this is just people's perception, though. We'll see.

Here is a statement from Konami on what the patch fixes

Quote:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 Ver 1.30English

Patch Notes

Time of Release: 17/2/2009

Patch ver. 1.30 corrects the following bugs:
1. Sometimes during Network play, the pass and go move didn't work.
2. When hitting long passes or shots from free kicks, players couldn't adjust the direction using L1 or R1.

Please be made aware that sometimes, during installation, the process may appear to have stalled with the window status shown as "not responding" for a few minutes.

However, we would like to ask you to wait for the installation to resume rather than to retry or abort as the installation is in progress even when the above symptoms occur.

We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding

lol I can see it now, Konami releases the patch in the form of Pes 2010.

At least they released PES reasonably close to the European date this year. In previous years, we didn't even get the game until spring. This time last year we were still waiting for PES08.

I do wish they'd show us some love over here. I know there aren't a ton of PES fanatics over here, but we are always loyal

This is one of the reasons I got the Euro version when it came out.

I here you ,I would have so done this if I had a PS3. When I was using my PS2 I had to always get the Euro Version.
