Madden 09 News Post

PWN or DIE simulated the NFC Championship game between the Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles and came amazingly close to the final outcome of the actual game that was filled with highlights. Fast forward a couple of weeks to the Super Bowl this Sunday and the Arizona Cardinals will be playing the Pittsburgh Steelers. Given the success of the previous simulation, it was a no-brainer to do it for the "big game". Did the PWN or DIE simulation get it right or did the makers of the game, EA, get it right with theirs?

Not realistic. No way Warner is gonna have time to sit in the pocket like that with the Steeler defense that blitzs most of the time.Cardinals gonna run on the Steelers like that?

...yea ok.
If anything the Cardinals are the ones "in over their heads"
The Steelers are the #1 defense for a reason, and Warner's gonna find that out real soon.

I think the overconfident Steelers and their fans are heading into an ambush.
Also consider the path these two teams took to get here. The Steelers beat an 8-8 team at home and the Ravens led by the great Joe Flacco. Look at how the Cardinals got here. 'nuff said.

lmao. solid. Flaco was total garbage when they played. You'd think the Ravens would've learned to stop throwing when he was 5 of 15, but I guess not. He lost them that game.

Although I agree with the outcome of the Cardinals winning this . I see no way in hell Roethlisberger having a game like he did in the simulatation lol

yes..lets take a look at how these 2 teams got here.
The Steelers played the toughest schedule in the league this year, while the Cardinals played probably the weakest, and could still only muster a 9-7 season...nuff said.

Except your regular season record means jack and squat once the playoffs start. Ask the Giants and Titans.

...you just blew your whole "theory" out of the water.
Since when do records matter in the playoffs??

Maybe not out of the water but just poked a couple of holes in it.

Regardless, the Cardinals weren't favored in any of their playoff games, went on the road and absolutely spanked the Panthers then beat a red hot Eagles team.

I think Warner is going to burn Pittsburgh's blitz. If they can get pressure on him with only their front three then there'll be problems.

Couldn't have said it better myself!
