2K Insider Blog has posted their NBA 2K9 1/29 Roster Highlights.

Quote:
"Several key players returned to action recently after missing time due to injury. Monta Ellis made his season debut vs the Cavaliers and scored 20 points in 34 minutes. His explosiveness and speed seems to be right where he left off last season, which is a relief to the Warriors and their fans. His shooting is off, but that should return in time as his conditioning improves. Jose Calderon missed 10 of 11 games with a bad hamstring but looked great in his return vs the Bulls scoring 23 points and dishing 10 assists. The Raptors have had a very disappointing season to this point, currently sitting in last place of the Atlantic division. Elton Brand is back for the Sixers but is coming off the bench as they work him back into the mix. Philly played fairly well in his absence which has fueled trade rumors including Brand. Jordan Farmar is once again coming off the Lakers bench after missing 17 games with a knee injury."

I've had fun playing with the default rosters. While they may not be perfect, imo they're not as horrible as they're made out to be. Much more playable than on release day

I use them cause they are the only rosters on PS3 that have Roy's ISO package.

yeah no one uses these rosters. while its nice to get some new animations, the attributes and tendencies are so awful. not many players play like they do in real life and try simming some games...check out those awful stats. tweaked sliders or no tweaked sliders.

Well I can't speak to the statistical inaccuracies that are produced by the base rosters. I've only used them for quick games and online games and find them to be enjoyable to play with. That's not to say the user-created rosters aren't either; I've tried a few and have enjoyed them also; the Outsiders rosters helped me to make it through to the patch. The Association thread is still going somewhat hot n' heavy with lots of detail so while I'm sure many are using modified rosters, I'm guessing not all aren't. Or you just have those that don't freak out because of a +/- 10% statistical differential on a particular stat.

Just saying that there shouldn't be an issue giving credit where due; the base rosters are much more playable than at release and it seems they've done a good job with the updates. Fortunately the game allows for tons of options whichever way people choose to go

are 2k sports gonna bring out a add on patch that has updated jerseys and different features, such as; replacing old managers that have been sacked technicals and flagrant fouls.

# 13 Pared @ 03/02/09 12:16 PM
You'll never see tech's or flagrant fouls in an NBA game unless the NBA allows it.

And no patch for anything else.
