Gameplay footage starts at 1:46!

The lighting, shadows, and field wear look great!

I love how they got the accuracy for the twin Sox as the primary Red Sox logos on the replay flash, like it was announced by Boston. Excellent detail.

The Toronto turf looks improved as well!

(Enigma, I edited your post and moved the embed into the first post, so it shows up on the home page.) FYI.

For some reason I think the pitching/ball release point animations are just a little weak. There doesn't seem to be that *umph* feel to throwing a ball 93 mph. It looks like Halladay just kind of lobs it forward Wakefield style in that video. Luckily I don't use that view so I won't notice it as much.

Not bad, but i was never a fan of the way hitters looked from the pitching view and this year is no different. Pedroia looks like a little kid from that view. The helmet is way to big and he is just so small.

That is how he looks in real life too!

That's because that Roy Halladay pitching motion has been in the game since the PS2 days when the animations were terrible.

Speaking of stances and motions, Jorge Posada is finally open at the plate! Good sign. I just wish I could have gotten a glimpse of A-Rod and Jeter at the plate. Oh well, if they fixed that bafoon Posada I'm sure they will do Jeter and A-Rod justice.

Thanks wsu for the info. The lighting really makes a huge difference.

Nothing wrong with being excited for this game. One thing I have learned ( being away from work and getting treatments) is to enjoy what you can, when you can.

To piggyback, lighting looks amazing. Major detail for me that will enhance my enjoyment.

I am not a Red Sox fan, but as a baseball fan, you have to like the way Pedroia plays the game.

I'm not sure what you were showing with the pic and talking about pitching...
BUT...
....Dustin's choking up a little on that bat!
I don't think I've seen that before.

indeed!
and has wrist tape. Nice little features.

and to guess at someone elses question...I dont think we will be able to change the accessory colors. Looks like last year so far where they change defendant on the uniform they are wearing (home, away, alt, etc)

You should install K-Lite Codec Pack it will allow you to play almost everything.
Mike,

What do use to take snapshots of a video?

thanks

My god did Youkalis look balder than Stone Cold Steve Austin in that video.

I agree with you. I was REALLY hoping for some new camera angles. Especially fielding ones which would show more stadium and ball flight. I have a feeling we'll still have the 3 choices we've always had. Too bad...new cams would really give a new feel and add variety.

I love the way Pedroia fields the ball and flips it to second. This looks amazing! The lighting and field ware look so real.

I also hope to see the flight of the ball on home runs this year.

Can;t wait until March 3rd! I love this game.
Thanks SCEA!

I think we will get that broadcast camera from the Yankees trailer for only "no doubter" HR's.
