The creativity this game allows is mind blowing...watching these guys only progresses my skill in the game and pushes my creativity...I wouldnt have thought of alot of those spots and set-ups without watching these guys play.
this is how i skate too. i just like doing realistic things and big gaps.

I liked it a lot. Loved the handplanting. Didn't have an issue with the graphics at all. Girl skaters are kinda busted looking, but at least you can make them. Getting off of the skateboard is alright, but kinda clumsy looking for a game with such a great physics system.

Main thing...don't know if I need it. Skate. part 1 might be enough for me. This looks like the first 1 with handplanting at 60fps, and I'm not sure if I need that for 60 bucks.

They might need a jump in, jump out, fully competitive coop city with real people to pull me into a sequel. It'd be nice if this just turned into a skateboard MMO. Until then, it's part 1 with a patch and a new story.

I have not notice any "glue effect"

The games plays just last years game, But more redefined. It seems like they just fleshed out of what they have. More tricks, getting of the board, moving objects.

I want to pick up skate 2, but not for 60 bucks. I'll probably wait a while until I get it.

Here is some footage of how I play the game (this is not my footage, just similar to my style of playing the game), and I dont really see a "glued effect."

Watch more video games and play free games at WeGame.

Then again, I play realistically and rarely do 360's (not really a big street trick unless you're Chris Cole)...for example, a 360 kickflip 360 (known as a big flip) is rarely ever done in real life and I never do it in game. I can imagine that it probably looks bad because the board has to be spinning on the same exact axis as the skater like they were teathered together.

I'm not trying to play the holier than thou card on anybody who enjoys this game, I just play it as realistically as possible and rarely do I see things look unnatural and wonky.
Anyone know what this song is????

Do we know if they'll still have the ESPN style skate park with huge drop and stuff like that? Some of my most fun times online were with OS'ers dropping in on the "Big Air" and watching everyone faceplant trying to land some crazy contortion flip.

I remember that fondly. God, I hope so. It was pretty amazing watching guys land insane tricks in the early days before it was old hat.

I still don't know if it is worth buying. If the places to skate are a lot better I'll get it, but getting off the board and moving **** around doesn't really do it for me. That stuff could of been there from the beginning.

youre trippin.

this is a must buy...IMHO

getting off the board will allow you to set up such sick lines.

moving stuff around you just have to use your imagination, man i cant wait im gonna be on this game 24/7

I agree. I still play the original, and it seems like every time I say to myself " I wish I could walk up those stairs and move that bench over there." The option are going to be virtually endless.

PS GSW are you getting this on the PS3? I'm not one that plays online a lot, but I like to skate with a relaxed sim style. I wouldn't mind skating with a few others that have a similar approach.

I'm lovin it, and I think it's a huge improvement over the OG Skate...I wish I had a capture card, cause I have had some sick *** lines and set-ups the past couple nights that looked great.

hell yea im on PS3...

Im down for sure.. i like to skate simple lines and chill too we can skate online FOR SURE.

On Skate i used to always session the Plan B skatepark... I'd be in there for hours, talking to the kids and playing S.K.A.T.E, and trying to find and do cool lines.

I'm not one of those guys that liek to go around doing ranodm flips and spinning around trying to get crazy points... occasionally just to do something impossible.. but in general i skate sim.
