ESPN the Magazine has posted an article they've entitled, You're Never Too Old For MLB 08, where they talk to our very own jim416 (Stewart). Keep on gaming brother!

Quote:
ESPN: "When did you first get into playing video games?"

Stewart: "I remember when Atari and the Odyssey first came out and me and my buddies would play those dumb little Pong-like baseball games. And every year, when the new games came out, we'd play them, but it was nothing more than passing the time. The games back then always had something missing. But when Sony came out with MLB 07: The Show, that's the one I thought dramatically changed the face of baseball gaming. And with MLB 08, the jump was night and day. That's the game that made me finally buy an LCD TV."

Great read, Jim...

I too, am a bit older than most on this forum, but as a fellow 'sim gamer' and Nat's 'chiser, I applaud your point that than gaming is no different from any other hobby...

I always refer to it as "my golf"...

Still not sure why more of our contemporaries haven't picked up on gaming...but I'll bet a few more will as a result of your interview...

Just now stumbled upon this thread...unbelievably cool. Way to go Jimbo!!!

I just had a thought, since you autographed your book that you sent to me, and you are adding to that fame of yours and all, I wonder how much I could get on Ebay for your autograph?

Hey guys, my dad has some old unopened baseball card packs with some bubble gum in it. Tell me if you're interested, just don't sue me if you get sick or break a tooth because of it. I was wondering what the gum would be like last year, so I was decided to try some of that gum(yeah...great idea) am I'm pretty sure it did chip a small part of my tooth off. That was the last time I will ever get that curious about how 50 year old gum tastes.
