Last week, I discussed a list of changes and additions that would make MLB 2K9 a serious contender for baseball game of the year. I will now be switching my focus to MLB 09: The Show, and I will be listing some improvements that can be made to refine an already stellar baseball game. These changes, if made, will likely further increase the replayability, fun and realism of the game.

I would love to train on the practice field in RTTS. I also like your idea about the meter throwing, it would make for less random errors. I'm not sure I like the idea of making hitting more difficult, I can make it easy enough to hit .400, but I can also increase the difficulty to make it more realistic.

With regards to the Show we are numb to it. We are seeing it but not feeling it so to speak.
I totally agree about feeling numb on a lot of great fielding plays after a while....there great eye candy but I would rather make a more generic dive or catch and take pride in knowing that I made the play instead of watching a scripted animation where the infielder picks the ball on a tricky hop or makes a scripted diving stab with his glove

If implemented correctly some plays would still be able to have various cool animations while feeing like your in total control but a lot of scripted play animations would have to be scrapped in order to make it work

Totally AGREE! thats 1 thing that 2k has over the show, in my opinion, reminds me of that arcade baseball game with the metal bat u would have to flick back and forth to swing
If they put this in and took out the button swing, I guess my baseball gaming days would be over...no, I know they would be over. The only way to do the batter interface correctly is how they do it now and how MVP did it......by using the left analog to line up the pitch. It would be damn near impossible to try and move your left analog stick while you are moving your right stick down and up.
