NCAA Basketball 09 Xbox 360 Community Roster Project

Hi folks,

I saw that BehindShadows is planning on releasing a roster set as soon as he can finish up. Problem with that is he's going to be editing players attributes, looks, etc, as he goes along.

I've always been of the mindset that I prefer to use the rosters the way they came with the game. When you start editing attributes, inevitably, you're going to have a bias towards one team or another and the file won't come out the way it should.

We'll pass the roster file around using the EA Locker. It's important to note that under no circumstances should anything other than a player's name, his height/weight, race, or jersey number be edited. LEAVE THE ATTRIBUTES ALONE!

So...with that said, we need volunteers. Below is a list of all the conferences, along with whether or not they've been done, and by whom they've been edited. Rather than using their OS names, I'm using their gamertags instead so it'll be easier to get the file from, in the EA Locker.

lemon is correct...my GT is w0ndermonkey.

ok, fellas...i just got the colonial finished up. no major problems, but here's the bad news:

james madison: SF#24 and C#52 have no match on the real roster and appear to be extras (possibly transfers?)

northwestern: SG#10 is extra and not on real roster

unc wilmington: C#34 is extra

other than the above, no problems in the colonial.

i have uploaded the file to my EA locker (named "horizon colonial"). one funny thing though....it gave me the "profanity filter" error when i tried to put it in my locker but it's still showing up there. i thought the filter glitch only came into play when trying to upload it to a public locker. hmmmm....

anyway, i'm not sure who is up next, but whoever it is, PM me with your gamertag so i can add you to my friends list and get you the updated file.

I think the last few conferences are assigned to people already.

i promise i'm not trying to be a d*ck, but i am not going to accept the random ones right now.

i don't have the final file yet...as soon as i get it, i will post on here that i have it and you guys are more than welcome to send me a friend request!!! i will keep you on my friends list for approx 24 hours (as long as there's room) so you can get the file and then i'll remove you if you don't remember to remove me after you download it. no big deal.

OK fellas,

Although I realize that its not big deal since we can still share the file in private lockers, but this profanity filter is still bugging me.

I thought I may have found the culprit...but I'm not sure. There is a player on the Clemson roster named Demontez Stitt. After I changed it (to Smith) I no longer got the profanity sensor. But in later attempts to save (with the name still Smith and virtually no other changes) I got it back again.

Wierd.................

shadows is working on the missouri valley then after that im doing the southern conference and then we are done.

You guys are the reason I read these forums every time I'm not deployed. You guys come together for projects like this and prove that anything is possible. Thanks again for the time and effort, and I can't wait to have these rosters to play with while I am out to sea.

I am new to Xbox Live. I got rosters for NCAA Football 09 yesterday, and it was straightforward. It doesn't seem so in this case (I realize the rosters are still being worked on). Can someone explain the mechanics of navigating the menus, etc. for getting them when ready?

arite guys, so to my knowledge, heres how to download the new roster file in NCAA basketball 09:

FIRST, you must find somebody with the roster in their locker and add them to your friends list. terps will probably be one of the first to have the complete file, so for sake of example, you would add his gamertag to your friends list and wait for him to approve.

once thats done, load up the game. in the menu, navigate to:

xbox live > my ncaa online > ea locker > online files

then press "X" for "FRIENDS"

a window listing every one on your friends list should pop up. highlight terps's gamertag ( or whoever else has the roster in their locker ) and press "A"

you should now be viewing the contents of that friends locker. you should be able to find the roster file in there, and from there it should be self explanatory how to download and install them (hopefully!)
