"There are dream jobs, and then there are Dream Jobs. Anthony White has the latter.

Every week during football season, this EA assistant designer receives a little black box at his desk at EA's Tiburon Studios. Inside the box is a portable hard drive with videos of that week's NFL games.

White then fires up that little black box and proceeds to get paid for watching every single one so he can ensure EA's Madden NFL Football titles are as accurate and up-to-date as possible.

"Sometimes I have to pinch myself," White said, to which we say, "no kidding!"

So if this guy watches every NFL game, why are so many uniforms missing from the game?

I would have felt better if there was a article stating that EA employees didn't watch football at all. At least Madden 09 would be justified...

Maybe some real game film would be in order as opposed to the highlight packages hes clearly watching.

also: Insert "they have to pay someone to watch 'cause no one there likes football" joke here:_____

I could go somewhere with this but a tonuge held is a tongue controlled.

This is just way too easy. No comment.

lol...I know right.

This means EA has to pull through that much more for 2010.

Also, every EA employee involved with Madden should be watching football every Sunday.

Maybe they just forgot to tell him what he sees is suppose to be "in the game".

Perhaps this year we will finally get a real broadcast feel presentation wise.

# 13 Tecahl @ 09/30/08 08:50 PM
Maybe he's watching soccer?

Steve,

You should've known better than to post this. It was just another topic that these Madden haters could put their two sense in.

Wow, the usual suspects came out on this one. To possibly get this back on track, Anthony is our playbook guru...and does this solely for playbooks. If you have complaints with playbooks, then please post them here. Anthony doesn't really have much effect on AI and things of that nature currently (though it's something we're trying to get him more involved in).

And most of us all watch football all the time (even though obviously I'm not one to say that you can't have an opinion to think we don't). In fact, here's where I was Sunday:

Attachment 10809

(P.S. going to a stadium with a bum calf...not the best idea)

It's the same people every time, saying the same **** over and over again, in some sort of bash all things Madden amateur wannabe comedy hour. Just the next step in the IGN'ization of our forums.

It gets to a point where you don't even want to read these topics anymore. I look for positive feedback to make the game better and all you get is a bunch of grown men complaining about the same crap.

Anyways... It's nice to see EA is trying to please their customers. It's not the best game, but at least they're trying.

Future, thanks for the 411 on what's going on at EA. Much love!

It's becoming more and more apparent that nobody has a sense of humor around here.
