Gamepro has posted their preview of NBA 2K9.

Exactly what I thought, they made a big deal acting as if they couldn't believe the competition hadn't thought of it.

maybe they meant a game that comes with 5 on 5 cuz nba live 08 had to patch it in didnt they?

It was already available but servers weren't active. But when they were, it was super smooth with no lag.
