News Post

This week on the Waiver Wire Matt Gagnon and Chase Becotte talk about the latest happenings in sports gaming news and discuss some of the recent demos to hit Live/PSN (NBA Live, Pure). After that Chase feuds with Chris Sanner about Facebreaker and whether or not it's a good start to the Freestyle brand. On the heels of that segment is a NHL 2K9/NHL 09 demo discussion among Chase, Erik Westfall and Matt Blumenthal. Finally, in the last segment we are including an NHL 2K9 conference call with producer Ben Bishop. Chase,
This was a good episode, but you need to get a better sidekick, who is actually able to compliment your ability as a host with competent analysis, other than "the game or feature is good, but whatever, you know what I mean". That is not the concrete, specific analysis that we need. I thought the NHL segment was much better as you had analyst who actually had passion about the demos that they were dissecting, even though its difficult to get much out of playing a demo. In the end, sports podcast are far and few between, so I guess, I cannot complain that much. And for god sakes, face breaker is not a sports game, so why even discuss it at any great length?
