Assuming that this is 100% pure gameplay in replay mode, if the game animates and looks like that throughout, it will be simply amazing. I love Rondo's dribbling animation when he's bringing up the ball. It's short, but you can clearly see that he's pacing himself, it looks lifelike.

2k games have ALWAYS looked crisp and sharp in replay mode.. This literally gives you no indication about how the game will look or play. hence the term teaser. its quite the teaser i must say.

Going back to 2k1, in replay mode, the game was as nice looking as anything. even in motion, in replay, anti-aliasing looked to be in full effect working. but once the gameplay gets in motion in normal play, jaggies are everywhere. Nothing too extreme but they are visible. i think we all may need to do a wait and see with our own eyes approach on this one.

MOSES, they never had fleetcenter on the court either. i dont know what the deal is. i remember 2k2 though, they named the arena "BOSTON ARENA" but in game it was fleetcenter on the court. A huge mistake, but it worked in the fans favor. 2k3 and after had just BOSTON CELTICS, or nothing at all. thats quite a pet peeve i have with the game which may be out of their control.

those names on the courts add so much. MSG was in every game the past ten years prior to nextgen systems 3 years ago. inside drive 05 has every arena even fleet center and MCI, something that 2ksport seems to have problems with yearly (contract issues im guessing). one year delta center is missing, the next conseco. last year UNITED center was named just that for the bulls, but the court was missing those letters..

Really nice graphics and animation.

I'm not really jumping over a teaser though but you guys gotta admit... that lay up was sick... from Pierce's take off, to his facial expression... looking forward to the next Teaser Vid but that one's nice...

I'm patiently waiting for a gameplay video.

Yeah I know they've never actually had the arena down. 2k2 had it somewhat with the Fleetcenter on the floor, but if they don't get this year's arena of the world champs, I will be really upset.

That has nothing to do with 2k and more about whether the arena is willing to license the name. I hope they get it in but I would rather them break the bank somewhere else than spending alot of money to get a arena's name.

What a funny thread.

I need to remember stuff like this when the game is released.

I say I'm going to do that every year. Take down some of the quotes from some of the knuckleheads here from July and August and when the first videos drop in September....remind them of what they said before. I'm too lazy to do it though.

Coulda sworn this was a teaser lol guys complainin like it was a full length momentous celtic trailer or something

for what it is, it looked great, very smooth, and very cinematic like

I noticed the players sneakers actually bending (don't remember if it was in previous games)

Pierce looked great, crowd looked great, the layup looked very smooth and i love the watery net animation

I know exactly how it works. I just hope TD Banknorth gives them the license rights, because as a Celtic fan, and a fan of the game I've been really picky when it comes to detail in 2k, that has anything to do with my team.

lol I hear ya... Sometime I can remember a few comments and who made them... but there's so many of them now it's easy to lose count.

Just like I did last year, I am refusing to watch any videos this year leading up to the games release. I want to be amazed, shocked, and awed at everything when I have the game in front of me.

With that being said, are the graphical improvements THAT much better than 2K8? And are they really better than Live's?

You'd have to see it to believe it

I don't know how easy it is to compare the graphics between Live and 2k. I feel like the live models are made of clay, whereas the 2k models are made of plastic. 2k has the upper hand when it comes to body structure and the equipment looking proportional to the player's physique. Live has the upper hand in HDR and glossyness. (But from this video I think that may have changed)

That teaser had the absolute best models and skin textures that I've seen in a basketball game to date if that answers your question... Their Pierce model is just incredible... looked absolutely perfect. My favorite scene from the whole thing aside from Pierce's little breathe-out on the layup was Rondo bringing the ball up... just looked realistic as hell.. smooooth.
