wow...the gameplay actually looks better than i thought it would. the movement is more realistic.
the jumpers still look a bit stilted, but maybe thats because they were fade-aways.

I haven't bought live since 96. This year it looks really good, and last year i really liked the contact around the rim which was missing from 2k8. IF they get things right this year, i might jump ship. Really looking forward to what 2k9 has in store.
Although this NBA DNA thing does very little for me since its only in exhibition matches.

Yeah I don't think Dirk could shake someone like that, but it was a very cool animation nonetheless.
am I understanding this right that it will keep your rosters and ratings up to date even in dynasty mode with this? if so I may give live a try since the last time Jordan was in the game

do you guys think this feature is more suited for those that want to follow the actual nba day by day?
The way I see it is that it may hamper our ability to effectively use each player in the game, especially if they go on a cold streak in the real nba. I can understand if players progress, such as bench players turning into starters, but wouldn't you just change the ratings for the players for that to happen? I guess the DNA thing does it automatically for you?

good question lol. the thing about the dna that is not that good is that it doesnt effect ur dynasty and it also wont be in effect till the start of the season and the game comes out before the start so u wont see the effects. and also u wont see the dna come into effect after the season is over and u have about five months until the next season starts soo thats gonna suck..but besides all that its going to be a cute feature..lol

I dont think DNA should be in the dynasty at all..Well unless you're able to use the DNA of the day you start and changes are made based off the play in the dynasty..It would just be weird if your team makes a trade in real life and you didn't like it but it happens in your season. It would completely take control away...If it's just based off the actual dynasty it would be dope tho because it would help with scouting and things like that..thinking about it..they should use the actual NBA in the season/playoff mode

If we all know by now it should be a wait and see approach when it comes to EA and their sports titles. I know everyone wants Live to return to the glory years of '96 and are anxiously anticipating that to happen. Don't get me wrong DNA is a great feature if implemented the correct way, but like a job EA's performance review is borderline cause for firing by the videogame community.

Obviously, their style of play may change. That's why it gets updated. Like the year before Kobe passed a lot less than he did last year. So last year you would have played with greedy Kobe in your association until Synergy collected info. on Kobe's play from last year and how it changed.

Good to see they're showing PS3 footage (I would assume?). The features menu was obviously PS3 footage, so I'm going to assume that EA wouldn't show 360 gameplay footage and try to make it seem like it was PS3 given the features menus. If that is the case, the PS3 version will be fully identical to the 360 version and I am glad to see that. The feature looks very interesting and the gameplay looked MUCH improved from last year. Thumbs up EA.
