I believe that the best NCAA Football game was NCAA 07 for the XBOX and PS2. While this game did have a few bugs, all the features such as the presentation (player intros, celebration scenes), create a team, Division IAA schools were included. I have a PS3 with full backwards compatibility and I have spent countless hours playing this game. I also own the game for the original XBOX and I have many Dynasties that I have been playing with different teams. These features have been left out of NCAA 09 which is why I will not be buying this years game. NCAA 08 was in my opinion a horrible incomplete game missing many features. Maybe NCAA 2010 if EA can finally get all the features included that were on the last generation systems. If not, I will continue to play NCAA 07.

Wow, now that is some will power. If that would have been me, I would have some how justified buying it only to get it home, play a few games and then let it collect dust as I hate arcade games.

The game is great. People are just being too picky. It is much better than last year.

unreal. well it looks like i will be waiting to see if a patch comes out, when it comes out, and if major issues are addressed. i was really psyched for 09...but as usual, EA sports lets me down again. {sigh} thank goodness NCAA 2004 is still fun. lol

Here is the deal!
I Have bought the game every year for 11 years and have enjoyed it until last year on the PS3. When Iowa's uniforms have been messed up so bad that it is unbareable to play the game, I would suggest not to buy it. For a proud Hawkeye Fan and College football fan, I would have to say that the integrity of this series is sacrificed. I just hope it can be redeemed.
I can live with out team specific bowl game endzones and tunnel entrances but this is the biggest eye sour.
So No unless they come out with a patch to fix glitches and all of the uniform issues.

Life is too short. Will start my dynasty with computer generated names, 7min quarters on All-American, no sliders. It is a game.

Bottom line folks...

If you can handle offense-oriented games, buy it...

I'm a defensive minded guy, always have been, which is why I'm harping on the lack of pass rush/Robo QB...

...It's a very solid title.
A seemingly good summation...

Oh ye of the avatar with two great big boobally things.

This is why I purchased the game this afternoon:

-The gameplay is different. I'm interested in these new wild arse moves.

-Wide open offense, defensive issues....something new for me to try and beat.

-Stadium sounds, something new to customized my experience.

Basically, NCAA 2008 was the only Next Gen football game that I felt was playable last year. So I'll give this game a shot. It's not going to be perfect, but I'm just looking for a few months of fun.

I bought my copy today and am loving it. I get no freezes or lock ups at all with "earosters com" Works like a charm. This game is fun but at the same time frustrating, I faced Utah (I was Michigan) and gave up 247 passing yard, he was 23-29. Maybe it's me, this is my first time playing a Football game on an Xbox. But everyone who love the NCAA or Football in general, this is a must buy, there is a patch in the future.

You do relaize that if we get a patch in a month, that would still be about two weeks before the college football season begins, I believe on Aug. 30.

From I understand, patches are expensive and involve going through a complicated process. So it's not going to happen anytime soon. And you want them to get as much fixed as possible and not rush out a half-arsed patch.

And you don't want to rush out a half-arsed game.

I rented the game yesterday. This will be the first year that I will not purchase the game. I am extremely displeased with the 360 version. Only one camera view? Folks, this is 2008. Sure, it looks pretty. But I would rather play with stick figures and have poor presentation so that my game play was on. I cannot see my receivers in the flats. Not accecptable. My money is staying in my pocket.

I am really enjoying the game. I've been playing since 2002 on the PS2. I love 2004, 2006, and now this one 2009. Last year's version was the first time I traded in for Madden because I was so disappointed. This year the game is great! Especially if you want to do online dynasty. I downloaded DTs rosters and have had no problems.

# 60 hoodlum10 @ 07/16/08 07:01 PM
i just edit the rosters myself and i have had no problems
