I have my capture card half way working, so I decided to throw up one of the clips I captured from NCAA Football 09. This one features AI vs. AI, on default Heisman. The quality isn't that great, but I am working on it. Please let me know what you think.

Well done. The quality is as good as any others that I've seen. I was looking for kick coverage issues and I guess a human could bust some decent returns but, it doesn't appear nearly as broken as has been reported. Underneath passes however, may be too money.

I liked what i saw with a few exceptions. The INT was well done, wasnt a ridiculous INT, bad throw into coverage. Did see alot of time in the pocket, but didnt see many blitzes or anything. The playcalling towards the goal line was iffy, but i can make peace with that. Thanks for posting Steve!

Nice to see a screen get blown up by the D. I didn't like the fact that on LSU's first TD the DB seemed to be in position but didn't make a play on the ball.
Other than that it looked good!

Hopefully they patch that unnecessary juke. That was a pick 6 for LSU if it wasn't for that stupid juke out of bounds

Getting out close to the 40 on every return is most definitely a problem.

Yes, but the kickoffs are only getting to the 10. Increase the kick length slider, and they're getting out to the 25-30 yard line. That's pretty realistic for college football nowadays, anyway.

Exactly. Statistical data showed that last year kicks on average landed around the 10 yard line and the average kickoff return is about 21 yards. Increase kickoff length and where's the "major needs to be patched" flaw?

I was expecting to see something really broken after reading Bill Abner's blog. Not something that imo can be easily remedied with a slider tweak. Much to my delight I might add.

I think his problem was with human returns being insanely easy though. This was CPU vs. CPU so it probably wouldn't be as noticeable. Also there were no punt returns on this video.

I guess we need clarification as to whether or not something did change between the demo and the final build in regards to kick coverage.

yea i didn't think much was wrong either. Execpt i thought the DB should have made the play on the first touchdown too. But hey sometimes that happens. But u really find the tru flaws after repeat play, till then so far so good.

Wow. Not one mention on the ridiculous amount of pinpoint throws by the CPU.

I mean, EVERYTHING was spot on perfect. The INT was a result of good coverage, not a bad throw.

But damn... passing seemed too easy for the CPU on both sides.

Expect to be bummed - that's the only view.

He mentioned in his last post 35 yard punt returns are the norm. As you mentioned, there were no punt returns here.

Whoa. Not good.

One thing I hadn't noticed before... prior to the snap the QB sort of glides towards the center when he gets close to him.

In my first post I noted that the passes were too money.

35 yard punts is not a problem last ncaa average was only 40 yards and the net average was only 35. The problem is the return yards. Last year teams only average 9 yards per returns. you had about 40 teams average double figure return yards with K State avg 22

So the punt defense is the problem not the kicking

Yep it's been in every EA football game since 2002.

And he was saying punt returns, not punts.
