News Post

A few weeks back we asked OS Forum members to submit questions for the FIFA 09 Production team. The first batch of questions have been answered by the FIFA 09 PS3 and Xbox 360 Producer, Dave Rutter. Dave has been kind enough to provide us with some very detailed answers for some pretty tough questions. For all of the answers check out our FIFA 09 Producer Interview.

Check back tomorrow when we'll be adding more FIFA 09 information including screenshots.

Update: Here is another interview with Dave that has been floating around Youtube today:

^^later in the thread someone links to the La Liga page. There it says, that for now, only EA has the license, which does not necessarily mean exclusive.
And there is another rumour, discussed here and here: It could be, that Konami licensed the Champions League, so all participating teams would be in the game.

rumor has it apparently UEFA are pushing Konami to make the champions league a stand alone game... still a rumor nothing set in stone yet.....although that would be pretty crap if that happened to be true

Actually that's what UEFA asks EA to do. I wouldn't say it's unrealistic to say that they ask Konami to do it.

I don't think EA would do that because it would risk their relationship with FIFA who at some levels "competes" with UEFA. Now Konami on the other hand.....

UEFA requires EA to make a CL game and maybe a UEFA game. And EA still makes a FIFA:WC game but FIFA doesn't require that it's a stand alone game. UEFA wants CL to be a stand alone game.

What about stat tracking throughout your manager mode...Why cant we see what is going on in all the leagues when the season is going on. You only meet in the CL league...What about Stat history and Trophy history like Madden. After the season I want to look at my accomplishments...I want to know how many goals I scored throughout my career..I want to look at my trophy case and see all my winnings...Why isnt the Santiago Bernebaeu in the game??

So about that party mode...and kicking players out of lobbies....

Doesn't look like the game has it.
