Madden 09 News Post

Gamestop has posted the final week of the Madden NFL 09 Madden Mondays. This one titled Mother Nature Strikes Back!

Quote:
"On Monday, November 26, 2007, the Pittsburgh Steelers played host to the Miami Dolphins in what can only be described as an utter debacle. In a thrilling 3-0 Steelers triumph, Heinz Field looked like it had just hosted a monster truck rally as rain poured down mercilessly, making the field virtually unplayable. We learned two things that night. Number 1: our GameStop fantasy football team would miss the play-offs because we couldn’t get a measly 3 points out of Ben Roethlisberger and Heath Miller. Number 2: weather can have a serious impact on the results of a football game."

Starting to sound like a broken record here, but the graphics are crazy. Player faces are looking pretty good too.

Good stuff. If you can make snow angels in Lambeau, I assume players will leave marks on the ground when they fall.(fingers crossed)

EDIT: If that's a glove on Big Ben's throwing hand, I'm gonna pass out. The faces are dead on. Big Ben's player model is perfect. Tall, but not skinny.

Countryboy - I remember years ago we used to have this dog named Scrappy, a cockapoo, that would snarl and bark and act all bad@ss when anyone would come to the house. Well one time my friend Eric got annoyed and just suddenly moved real fast like he was going to hit the dog to scare it. Well the dog immediately quit barking, his eyes got real wide, he lowered his tail between his legs, froze completely up and began urinating all over the floor.

I kinda envisioned you ever so happily dancing into this thread, not a care in the world and then seeing those screens and having that exact same reaction. That black furred cockapoo, forever in my mind, frozen in terror, slowly urinating as everyone laughed heartily in the background at his misfortune. It wasn't just the action but the utter and pure surprise.

BTW - Scrappy is dead now but he'll forever live in my mind, re-living that utterly ridiculous, humbling and ultimately humiliating experience. Again and again. Until I too am dead and that memory perishes forever, his shame fading into oblivion.

man, i dont see how anyone can not be at least a little pumped for madden 09. not only is the game looking better, its getting good reviews from people who dont even work for EA. On top of that, u got Ian here giving us info and making adjustments to the game due to our input!

I am stoked for august 12th!!! and now we can slip and slide in the rain.

# 17 Hassan Darkside @ 06/03/08 02:27 AM
Thank God. All I know is that with this kind of interaction and adjustments right now for 09, Madden 2010 will be off the chain.

More good solid news from EA....the little details are certainly adding up at this point.
