Wow, the PSP version looks horrendous. Too many players with 2-bar facemasks.

Yeah I had mentioned the O.J. Simpson cage in another PSP thread. I hope those are historic teams.

Those PSP screens are a joke I hope. Madden 06 which I have on the PSP looks far better than those screens and that game is nearly 3 years old.

I agree with your general tone here, after all I trashed the PSP screens too, but you can't really say EA slacks at everything and don't care about graphics considering how good NCAA and Madden look this year. They do slack at a lot of things but usually it's not the graphics.

Yikes - PSP reminds me of Front Page Sports Football Pro from when I was but a young football gamer.

Was the PS2 version of NCAA 08 any good last year? Turnover fest? I refused to buy 2 NCAA games last year so I don't know. I'd consider 09 this year for the PS2 if the NCAA 09 doesn't come through for 360...I'm not much of a graphics whore. Give me the solid football.

What the hell did they do to my PSP game???

The numbers were literally off of the jersey on that one screen. Ugh.

Just... ugh.

I enjoyed the PS2 version way more than the 360 version I had last year because it was a solid game minus the graphics and the bugs from the 360 version.

The PSP version looks brutal though....

I think EA Sports does slack when it comes to their games for the PSP. Usually the talent on their staff works on the next gen games.

I would like to make a few points about these screens, though. First, I would like to think they smoothed all the graphic textures so that they can make the actual gameplay better, faster and more fluid.

Second, oftentimes individual screenshots from PSP sports games look horrific because with the psp, the detail comes with the movement of the objects, which allows for bad graphical points in some individual screenshots.

Third, EA states they are dong away with cut scenes and closeups in this version to make the time it takes to play a game shorter and thus better for a handheld. So the detail in the objects close up can be less detailed.

I doubt that it's a historic team for Kansas, since really they don't have a lot of teams they could be proud of.
