Monday Morning Other Stuff (4-28-08)

Had an extremely busy weekend. Setup the RAID 0 and added more memory to my PC, reformatted and reinstalled Vista three or four times, because I wasn't setting the RAID 0 up correctly. Finally finished it, but don't see that much of an increase in speed when capturing videos. I'm going to grab a few more things, as described to me by Behindshadows2.

We went to the National Geographic Museum and saw thier "Frogs" display. I've never seen so many frogs in my life. We saw small tiny ones, big fatty ones, brightly colored ones, humping ones, err... Anyways, it was great, Nat really enjoyed it.

The draft wasn't bad, I mean, I dunno. I was a little disappointed the Boys didn't grab Rashard Mendenhall, but I like the Felix Jones pick. Jenkins was a solid pick, not sure about Bennett and the rest of the draft picks. A bit surprised they didn't grab a WR.

What's up with you?

Q'sOTD: Waiting for the midnight release of GTA IV, or just picking it up tomorrow? How was your weekend?

QOTD- I still don't know. I work till midnight, and it's only a 20 minute ride to the store.. Weather is not so great here (rain), so I may just wait till the morning..

Weekend was busy working, then went to dinner and a movie with my fiance (seems weird saying that now) - saw Harold and Kumar, and then had a waiter that I wanted to punch out.

QOTD; Depends on if i can frag my "old" butt out to Gamestop at midnight (im 28). Id love to get it, but in all honesty, if i get it right at midnight, that means im not home till 1 and i have to get up at 6 for one of those real 8-5 jobs.....Not sure if PS3 or 360 gets my vote yet

Not planning on getting GTA (have never played a GTA game). If it's as great as the hype, I might have to reconsider.

Pretty good weekend, highlighted by the Cavs taking care of business in DC yesterday. They relied on 3's a little too much for my liking, but a win's a win. I'm just hoping Stevenson doesn't pull an Artest and start a riot at the Q in Game 5 by trying to hurt LeBron.
Enjoyed the nice weather on Friday by eating outside at a local bar and hung out on our porch with a couple of friends. Went to a "Thinkers and Drinkers" dinner on Saturday to discuss ways to promote community development in Cleveland. Was pretty interesting. Saw Harold and Kumar yesterday.

I'm not planning on getting it either, that's just not my kind of game.

My weekend was pretty good. Went to a dog's birthday party on Saturday (LOL

) and picked up Mario Kart around midnight Sunday and played it pretty much all day.

QOTD:Since I don't have a gamestop in my area, I just ordered it online, so it won't be here til sometime next week. I'm very happy with how Dallas drafted. Felix Jones is just who we needed, I also notice we signed WR Danny Amendola, who alot of people compare to Wes Welker.

I read the 11 signs article. I fit over half (not the oldest one trading stuff in... I am 20, don't have a ps3, and don't have a wii so that takes 2 more out).

QOTD: I didn't preorder, will try the gamestop tomorrow morning before class. If it isn't there I might try the Target up a little bit (I don't have a car so I have to rely on public transportation). I really hope the gamestop will have some copies, it is literally right on campus.

QOTD: Won't be getting GTA IV at all. I had a great weekend. Enjoyed the races, and the Chiefs had a great draft. Doesn't get much better.

I fit the majority of those 11 signs as well, but I could have told you I wasn't a hardcore gamer long ago. A few years ago maybe, but not now.

I've got GTA being shipped to my house, hopefully tomorrow. I've got a ton of school work to do to finish out the semester and then finals coming up next week, so I probably won't have much time to play it anyway.

Hopefully, the Bears picked up some good players this past weekend. I really don't know much about them. I didn't see Vandy or Tulane play at all this past year and those were the Bears first 3 picks.
