"The key thing to realise is that positioning and timing is everything, and that to time your strokes you really have to watch both the ball and the animation of your player. That's why the power bars have been removed from the game – to force players to actually time their strokes in relation to the ball. It's surprisingly easy, when you first pick up the game, to release your shot button way too late every time, as you have to release – to start your swing – as the ball comes towards you, not when it reaches you. Get that down and the game suddenly starts to click."
