Definitely going to take a while to unlock everything. 473 cards means a lot of different tasks. Some look absolutely rediculous, but should add an extra challenge to the game.

Record a save with Huston Streat...easy.
Hit for the cycle with Mark Ellis...ouch.

I can tell this list is old as it is in team order, but hasn't been updated to reflect most moves. Dan Haren, Nick Swisher and Mike Piazza are still in the A's section. I wonder if their cards will refelct them in an A's uniform or if they will be updated with roster updates.

Count me in as one of those that didn't like this feature at first. But the more I read about it the more I like it as an added challenge to playing the games.

I can see it becoming addictive once you actually force yourself to get into it, but I can see me not missing it if I just kind of forget about it from the get go....which way to go???

I think BB said they will have downloadable cards for big name players who have switched teams. He used Santana as an example.

Seems like a pretty cool feature I guess. Something to collect and work towards at the very least.

Hopefully, I'll be able to come to OS and find someone to trade cards with on XBOX live. I don't play with that many teams so I won't earn many of the other cards.

I think 2K should open up a card site so 360 users can trade cards with ps3 users.

I really don't think this feature is anything I'll pay attention to. I plan on spending a majority of my time playing a franchise w. the Yanks, I don't see how I'll ever unlock other cards.

Well, you could always go for Special Edition Card Pack #26

(Play a Franchise with the Highest Payroll Possible and yet still somehow not win a World Series for seven consecutive seasons)

That should be an easy one.

Hmm. What happened to Ernie Banks?

Might as well go for the gusto at that point and aim for 86 years without one.

How do you unlock the historical players? I've completed a few of those challenges and can't find where those cards might be.

So, I'm guessing no one is in to the card collecting aspect. I'm thoroughly addicted to it, but long to play as Dwight Evans or Fred Lynn. The press release gave a huge list of historical players and they are no where to be found. I'm woried I'm just an idiot and can't find them due to my idiocy.

you've got to unlock the cooperstown teams by getting the team card itself. then you'll be able to unlock the individual players.

Has anyone been able to do that?

I'm quite addicted to it myself though I've been trying to build my card team and save up money for a pack.

I'm one RF short of a lineup and and five pitchers short of a full team.

Yeah I've got about 8 middle infielders, and no outfielders. I also finally got my first platinum card. Regretably, it's Chris Ianetta.

well I am loving it myself I have had 4 wild cards one was chone figgins, another one was a full pack with vlad guerrero and 2 that havent been redeemed yet. I have 21 cards at the present my most satisfying was probably unlocking carl crawford with 2 hits, 2 steals and 2 runs in the same game.

I got my first Platinum card last night. It was Jack Cust after hitting a HR with him. I've gotten a couple of wild cards from turning a double play and hitting a home run, but I'm still waiting for a wild card that turns into a pack of cards!!! At least one my wild cards was Vlad Guerrero!! I can't wait to field a whole team that I can take online.
