When the first professional football team you can remember rooting for goes 0 and 16 you would think it would be the worst sports related moment of your life. Not this guy ((that is well represented by Fredo(BC) beating Notre Dame)) I stopped caring about the Lions 3 or 4 years ago. I appreciate what Barry Sanders meant for me when I was growing up, but when Joey Harrington is making fun of an organization you realize it's time and has been time for awhile (Joey referenced being here for the hey day, while being the Saints 3rd string QB). Wayne Fontes is the winningest and losingest coach in Lions history, that almost says it all. From Chuck Long to Bob Gagliano to Stoney Case to Dan Orlovsky, those all are starting Quarterbacks for Detroit Lions since I started watching. That list doesn't include Andre Ware, Charlie Batch or Mike McMahon.
Jon Kitna predicted this team would win more then 10 games last year, What the ****? The Lions history that I remember includes Barry Sanders (G.O.A.T.) Herman Moore, Chris Spielman, Bennie Blades, Ray Crockett and an NFC Championship Game presence (1991). I also remember Barry faxing his retirement in, Scott Mitchell, Johnnie Morton getting knocked out, I mean telling Jay Leno to kiss his ***, Mike McMahon and Josh McCown lining up at Wide Receiver BEFORE THE WILDCAT FORMATION. YES, THEY WERE RUNNING ROUTES WITH ANOTHER QUARTERBACK TAKING SNAPS. That actually happened.
This team doesn't want people to root for them, they can't, it's impossible. Matt Millen kept his job forever. He traded down to draft Gosder Cherilus, they would have been better off drafting Felix Jones and taking a tackle later in the draft. Bill Parcells will be available this off-season if the Lions don't make a true effort they are done. I don't know how it could get worse but I think back to back 0-16 could happen. Thank god I don't care anymore, otherwise this would have been way longer.

They need to bring Parcells in (or Pioli) although I hope Bill stays with my Dolphins. NFL teams are truly built from the top down and it's been stinking in Detroit for a long time.
