After a better but still disappointing season NIU negotiated contract extensions for both their OC and DC. NIU lost 18 players to graduation including QB Drew Hare who was drafted in the 6th rd. NIU has received no transfer requests this off-season. Recruiting went much better this year with a class ranking 47th best in the nation and finishing 3rd in the MAC behind Bowling Green and Miami (OH).
