Hamilton Blades 20 Game Update

After 20 games, the Hamilton Blades record stands at 14-4-2. "We're very impressed with how the team has come together. Chemistry is starting to develop within the team and we are definitely seeing it on the ice. We now have two potent scoring lines which are dangerous every shift and a solid checking line now being anchored by Chris Drury. Bates line is also contributing, so we're pretty happy right now." said coach Scotty Bowman.

With the injury to top goal scorer Mattias Weinhandl (hamstring, 2-3 weeks), the lines will be juggled next game with Josh Bailey potentially coming back from injury to rejoin Oscar Moller on the top line with Teemu Selanne. All the other lines should stay the same.

Kyle Beach

Since coming over from Chicago in the Doan trade, Beach has found instant chemistry with veterans Jason Williams and Jonathan Cheechoo. Since being put with the duo, Beach has put up 5 goals and 4 assists for a total of 9 points in 6 games.

Jonathan Cheechoo

Since being signed to a one year deal only a week ago, Cheechoo seems to have rediscovered his goal scoring touch. He has scored 6 goals to go along with 2 assists in only 8 games. The most staggering stat is that 4 of his 6 goals have been game winners including the deciding goal in the 2-0 shut-out of the Oilers.
