So, I was looking around the OS site and I came to the blog section and figured I'd post some Association thoughts.

I feel as though the purpose of association is to sustain enjoyment and realism over the course of multiple seasons. The biggest concern I have is that the A.I doesn't know how to put together a title contending team. As a result, most competent user can build a dynasty within 2 to 3 seasons, depending on the quality of the team starting out.

The off season moves that the computer makes seem to be random:
"have a SG and SF both rated in the mid 80's? No worries, sign a 87 rated SG that will kill your team chemistry when he starts taking away playing time."

"Did you sign that player you had your eyes on? Who cares, because when the season starts you can float his name in trade rumors and ship him off a seek later."

Both sound like hypotheticals but they actually happened in my association. The result is that by the forth year, it's basically a one team league. Where's the competition in that?
