New Jersey Devils finish with second worst record; Blackhawks win Stanley Cup

Despite their 7-2 win over the Florida Panthers in their final regular season game of the 2014-2015 NHL season, the New Jersey Devils have finished with the second worst record in the league, amassing only 72 points to the Presidents' Trophy winning Pittsburgh Penguins' 117. Buffalo was the only team to obtain fewer points this season than the Devils at 61.

The Chicago Blackhawks have won their sixth Stanley Cup since their formation in the "Original Six", also their third in six years, after defeating the Boston Bruins in a 4-0 sweep. Corey Crawford was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy for his part in the sweep of the Bruins.
