OKLAHOMA CITY-Don't tell the Oklahoma City Thunder that a long layover after a first-round sweep usually leads to a sluggish first game.

Having played its last game over a week prior, the Thunder streaked out of the gate against the Minnesota Timberwolves and never looked back, capitalizing on a bad shooting night by the Timberwolves to win by the second-largest margin in NBA playoff history.

Oklahoma City topped the Timberwolves 114-66 in Game 1, their 48 point margin second only to a 121-63 Denver Nuggets win over the New Orleans Hornets in 2009. Oklahoma City outscored the Timberwolves 83-41 through the first three quarters, including a 28-10 third quarter advantage.

The Thunder could've opened that lead even more, but head coach Scott Brooks chose to rest his starters through most of the final quarter.

Minnesota shot just 33 percent in the game and none of the team's starters scored more than eight points. Combined, Minnesota's starters shot a putrid 10-of-35 (28 percent) in the game.

Kevin Martin led the Thunder with 22 points and five assists. Kevin Durant finished right behind Martin with 21 points and five rebounds.

Russell Westbrook finished the game with a double-double, tallying 13 points and 10 assists. Serge Ibaka also had 10 points and six rebounds for the Thunder.

Derrick Williams led the Timberwolves with 11 points and five rebounds. Chase Budinger was the only other Timberwolves player in double figures, scoring 10 points in the blowout.
