PHILADELPHIA-The New York Knicks opened their conference semifinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers in record fashion, sinking their first 15 shots from the field en route to a 111-101 win in Game 1.

New York made 15 out of the 16 shots they took in the first quarter, opening a 10-point lead and missing for the first time with 30 seconds left in the quarter. New York continued to build their lead after that, opening a 20-point by the end of the third quarter.

Philadelphia mounted a small comeback against the Knicks' bench in the fourth quarter, but the 76ers couldn't get closer than 10 points back.

Carmelo Anthony led New York with 24 points and five assists, one of two Knicks players with more than 20 points. J.R. Smith was the other, scoring 21 in the game. Raymond Felton also had 13 points for the Knicks.

Andrew Bynum scored 21 points and collected 12 rebounds to lead the 76ers, one of two Philadelphia starters with a double-double. Jrue Holiday was the other, scoring 16 points and tallying 11 assists.

All five of Philadelphia's starters scored in double figures. Behind Bynum, Jason Richardson finished with 20 points and Evan Turner finished with 16 points. Thaddeus Young was the fifth starter in double figures, scoring 10 points and collecting seven rebounds.
