Game Notes

Oklahoma City enters this semifinals series as the clear favorite once again, having steamrolled the Sacramento Kings in four games in the first round. Minnesota stumbled in the middle of their first round series with the Dallas Mavericks before righting themselves after a historic night of futility by the Mavericks to take the series in six games.

They're going to need Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic to play ther best basketball of the year if they intend on topping Kevin Durant and company, but the task got much harder with the return of Oklahoma City's defensive stopper Kendrick Perkins last week.

Even if they are able to shut down Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Timberwolves still have to deal with several other offensive weapons like Kevin Martin and the barely used Serge Ibaka, not to mention a bench that has played out of their minds-rookie Perry Jones is averaging 11 points a contest in the playoffs so far. Expect Oklahoma City to take this series easily.
