LOS ANGELES-It's not often that a team scores 135 points in a playoff game and loses, but that's just what happened Thursday night at the Staples Center.

The Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers combined to score 272 points in a 137-135 overtime win for the Jazz that was the second highest scoring game in playoff history.

The record for most combined points, 304, was set in a two-overtime game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns in the 1992 NBA playoffs.

Utah opened an eight-point lead with six minutes left in the fourth quarter after trailing by four points at halftime, but a frantic Clippers rally helped send the game into overtime. There, hot shooting by the Jazz guards helped propel Utah past the Clippers.

Mo Williams led the Jazz with 27 points and 14 assists. Raja Bell finished close behind Williams with 24 points.

All five Jazz starters finished in double figures. Al Jefferson scored 15 points, Alec Burks had 13 points and seven assists, and Paul Millsap had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward each had 16 points and five rebounds off the bench for the Jazz.

Caron Butler led the Clippers with 27 points and six rebounds. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin each finished with double-doubles, Paul with 26 points and 13 assists and Griffin with 24 points and 15 rebounds.

DeAndre Jordan scored 18 points and collected seven rebounds, while Chauncey Billups scored 18 points and tallied seven assists.

The Clippers will face the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals. Denver topped the Los Angeles Lakers in five games.
