BROOKLYN-Brooklyn Nets P.J. Carlesimo had heard enough about the mismatch at center in the series when he decided to change his philosophy.

Missing starter Brook Lopez to match up against the Philadelphia 76ers' All Star center Andrew Bynum, Carlesimo chose to rotate through several bench players 6'7 or shorter to spell starter Andray Blatche, rather than swapping between Humphries and Blatche as he had done in the first two games.

Carlesimo's ploy worked, as the Nets rode their smaller bench players to a 93-79 win over the 76ers, with Damion James and Jerry Stackhouse giving the larger, slower 76ers low post players fits during much of the game.

Stackhouse scored 12 points and James 10 points in extended minutes at center. MarShon Brooks and Joe Johnson each scored a team-high 14 points in the Nets' win.

Deron Williams tallied a double-double in the win, scoring 11 points and dishing out 10 assists. Gerald Wallace also scored 10 points for the Nets.

Philadelphia's Thaddeus Young scored a game-high 22 points and added eight rebounds in the loss. Jrue Holiday finished behind Young with 15 points and nine assists.

Two other 76ers starters scored in double figures. Jason Richardson scored 14 points, while Evan Turner tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.

Brooklyn may not have to go small again though; Brook Lopez is expected to return for Game 4 on Thursday.
