DALLAS-With the Dallas Mavericks down by as many as 15 points in the second quarter, Vince Carter keyed a huge second half rally by the Mavericks to overcome the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-95, tying their playoff series at a game apiece.

Carter scored all 15 of his 23 points in the second half, with 10 coming during a fourth quarter where the Mavericks

For Minnesota, the loss meant wasting Nikola Pekovic's huge night, as the Serbian center had playoff career highs of 27 points and nine rebounds.

All five of Minnesota's starters scored in double figures. Behind Pekovic, Kevin Love was second on the Timberwolves with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Brandon Roy was third on the team with 13 points, Andrei Kirilenko fourth with 12 points, and Ricky Rubio fifth with 11 points.

Along with Carter, Mavericks guard O.J. Mayo also scored 20-plus points, finishing with 22 points.

Darren Collison finished with a double-double, tallying 19 points and 10 assists. In addition, Dirk Nowitzki scored 17 points and pulled down six rebounds.
