OKLAHOMA CITY�Kevin Martin scored 10 of his 15 points in the first quarter as Martin and the Oklahoma City Thunder used a strong first quarter to cruise to a 102-92 victory over the Sacramento Kings in the opening game of their first round matchup.

Oklahoma City opened a 31-21 first quarter lead after starting the game on a 16-2 tear, and a 13-2 spurt in the second quarter led by Josh Childress and Perry Jones gave the Thunder an insurmountable 56-45 halftime lead.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 25 points, eight rebounds, and four steals in the victory. Sacramento point guard Aaron Brooks paced the Kings with 24 points, four assists, and four rebounds.

Russell Westbrook chipped in 21 points, seven assists, and three rebounds for Oklahoma City, while Martin added 15 points and three assists against his former team.

Sacramento rookie Thomas Robinson just missed a double-double, accumulating 20 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Robinson's frontcourt teammate DeMarcus Cousins added 16 points and nine rebounds.

Sacramento's bench output was nearly doubled by Oklahoma City, who outscored the Kings bench 34-18. Childress paced the bench with eight points, while Jones, Eric Maynor, and Jeremy Lamb each had seven points.
