Tyler Honeycutt
SACRAMENTO-The Sacramento Kings have cut small forward Tyler Honeycutt, a front office source has confirmed.
Honeycutt's contract was set to expire after the 2012 season. He was Sacramento's second round pick in 2011. The UCLA product averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 57 games for the Kings this season.
Honeycutt played sparingly in Sacramento's first round playoff loss, scoring four points in the Thunder's four-game sweep of the Kings.
Sacramento's acquisition of Stephen Jackson earlier this week pushed Honeycutt to fourth on the Kings' depth chart, making him expendable. In 72 career games for the Kings, Honeycutt averaged 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds.
