NFL FILMS REPLAYS VAULT Feature!

Remember watching those awesome NFL Films documentaries? wouldn't it be cool if there was a Madden version for the Madden game?

NFL films vault kind of thought. every year NFL films does a edited 'recap' of the team's previous year. sometimes even edits per week of the NFL. Replays saving in Madden is kind of dull right now and doesn't really have any replay value to say. This feature would give it the NFL FILMS glory that makes it fun to 'remember that that play' or 'remember where we came from that season' feel to it.

During the game or after if it saves the replays, you can 'instant replay' and save that play with a certain angle and it will:

* remember the game date
* what week in the season it is
* the current record to this point
* who the starters were
* if it was a preseason playoff game or Superbowl
* who the players were in the play (aka QB and his stats up to that point)
* replay can have commentary or not
* allow for Chris and Gus to apply their commentary on it (not sure how to implement but you get the idea)
* we can rate replays over time for best ones we like
* rating system so the replays over time are collected the best ones are what is used in edits as highlights so to say

NFL films weekly in Extra Point

At the end of the each week 'Extra Point' takes your highlights and plays them in a auto edited package with commentary and NFL Films music. You can select this in the Extra Point section or perhaps the NFL FILMS Vault.

Playoff versions

*sums up season videos (knowing high rated replays)
* talks about teams that were in the playoffs
* team record for the season
* where the team ended up the year previous
* key players

Pre game Superbowl Version

* history of NFL teams that have won the Superbowl in the past
* including MADDEN Superbowl's (aka 2014 Superbowl etc)
* related to how many years it has been since they have been in a
Superbowl or if they were previously
* the team they are up against
* highlight top players
* players to watch
* injuries that may affect team (aka starters that are out)
* talk of Year awards players that are on the teams

Post game Superbowl Version

* all included presume version w/ additional result endings footage
* celebration of winning team
* walk away of the team that lost
* key injuries
* MVP of the game (if multiple MVP Superbowl winner should be mentioned)
* Coach Superbowl record
* How many times has this team won it?

NFL Vault

* as years pass, the NFL Films Vault will collect the year to year video
replays
* then create a collage video edits of them together
* with stat overlays
* slowed down replay footage
* w/ transitions
* NFL Films music
* stats of key players
* maybe user chosen?
* commentary related to information of team of those replays
Examples:
* QB's history
* was he injured during the year?
* what year in his career is he?
* did he suffer more interceptions then
touchdowns?
* Coaches history
* how many years with the team
* offensive and defensive coordinators history with team to that point

* (highly advanced) Historical auto reedits of the Replays commentary
* the engine realizes time has passed. say 4 years. it knows to stat where the coaches are now, the players if they play with other teams or
if new players are now in new positions. if they are int he HOF

EXPORT THOSE AUTO EDITS TO a Movie file!

* allow user to export edits with music and commentary to a file for use anywhere else. how cool would that be?!?

I could see an option added where you can create your own vids ala NBA 2K 11. Not to say it cant happen but if we do it probably wont be until the next generation of consoles hits. However I like your ideas. That would put the presentation over the top.

Thx for the comment! Yeah, i feel that the 'newspapers' feature that use to be in the HUD is what this could be. a NFL films kind of 'what happened during the week' etc.

you are probably right in that the next generation consoles, but i could only hope it is possible for this gen consoles.

as a long time Madden fan i always rolled my eyes when i heard 2k5 players state they had this. the gameplay was never Madden for me, but then i guess i never saw 2k5. if you see the presentation in 2k5 it does hold the bard high. there is something to aim for!
