Learn a little something
Posted on October 16, 2020 at 07:18 PM.
Was having problems with the box-score and realism. I have always liked Hall Of Fame difficulty because the AI really seems to adapt and attack almost in a cut-throat manner. That is hard though in the early weeks of a new edition because it takes awhile to learn the tuning and intent of the game by Development.

Now, some of you might laugh, but the last couple years I will start Hall Of Fame with all of my Attributes set at 100, then based on a winning score differential I will reduce that until me and the AI are even. I have also had to play at game-speed 100 in the past to get the explosive animations I see as realistic; just a matter of perception. However, this year I am really liking the explosion out of the box at 50.

I was seeing a little bit of herky-jerky almost cartoonish animation, so I paused the game I was playing with New Orleans and returned all of my Attributes to 50 per the original Hall Of Fame setup. But, to keep the game close I still have my "training wheels": I kept Offensive Awareness and Consistency at 100, as well as Defensive Awareness and Consistency.

Game is going great! I get to learn while having a chance on cut-throat difficulty. Of course, I will turn the sliders back with each win until they are at original levels. Then I can tweak.

Great job Development! Looking forward to next-gen! Tried the Taco Bell drawing my girlfriend gave me... no deal. Oh well, guess I will be coughing up that $500
