Im really not sure what to do on this one. I heard that NBA Live 10 last year was pretty good and i could get it for only 15 dollars and it has the new rosters too so it would basically be like getting a new nba game for only 15 bucks! On the other hand NBA 2k11 is coming out in a week and I think the modes look amazing, but im not to sure on gameplay and graphics. I am hoping that the OS community could help me with my decision! Thanks for all the help!

2k11 all day everyday. It just does everything better than live 10. But if you had ask live 10 or 2k10, then live would have got the nod

Something else to think about....I'm not sure if EA announced a date for the roster updates from them, so who knows when that would actually happen.

I was wondering this too. I really don't follow basketball whatsoever, I wouldn't even call myself a casual fan as I can't stand to watch it.
I do have fun playing it though, as well as playing the games from time to time and I've been trying to decide which to get. I feel like a lot of the great stuff about 2k11 is lost on me since I don't really require 100% authenticity. I find the demo pretty difficult, mostly because I don't know the subtleties of the game, but that also makes me wonder if it might be a little more enriching as there's clearly a learning curve.

I guess I'm the only one who hated Live 10 then. Compared to 2K10, even with 2K10's flaws, it was a better game IMO. Live was just too frenetic for me and I couldn't stand to play for more than a quarter. NBA 2K11 is the only game to play this year when it comes to basketball. Handle is more "Live" like and I think is even better than Lives' own offering. Add that to all the game modes and I mean this game is really a can't miss. Live is only giving you updated rosters....Sorry but that just doesn't cut it for me. If 2K were doing the same thing, I'd be POed. There's a lot more aesthetically pleasing about 2K11 as well with new uniforms and shoes (although Live did get that right, they got over 500 shoes for christ sakes, if NBA 2K had that oh man...) and the signature player moves...I mean NBA live still can't give you that. Signature moves, what you see Kobe, Bron, Wade, Melo, & D-12 do in real life, thats all in the game. 2K has literally stolen EA old catch phrase of "If it's in the game, It's in the game." LMAO
Whatever you choice is though, get the game that you will have the most fun playing because only you will be playing the game and you want something you will enjoy no matter what we say. hope that helps you out.

Yea man 2k11 for sure. It will be great for you to experience jordan since you were both on 1994 but honestly man if you could get live 10 for ten our fifteen bucks get both..

2k11 is the game of choice. No contest. There is nothing fundamentally right about NBA Live 10, in my opinion. The only think I liked from Live 10 was the dribbling from the right stick.
