A Look At Bucco Prospects

With the recent struggles at a few key positions on the Big League club, I decided to take a look and see what is down on the farm.

Listed below are the Top 10 Pirates Prospects (in order of potential call-ups)

Neil Walker 2B/IF Age: 24 B/T: S/L

BA: .289 1 HR 3 RBI 11 Hits

We have been impressed with Neil's progression this year. He has been playing multiple positions,although it looks like he will stick at 2nd base. ETA: imminent
Pedro Alvarez 3B Age: 23 B/T: L/R
BA: .306 1 HR 4 Doubles 4 RBI 11 Hits

Pedro has really turned it on lastely after a slow start. Not only has he come around offensively, he is playing great defense. ETA: Imminent
[B]Jose Tabata OF Age: 21 B/T: R/R[/b]

BA: .194 1 HR 2 RBI 2 Doubles

Jose has started very slow this season, but we are confident that he will turn the corner. ETA: June/July 2010
Brad Lincoln SP Age: 25 RHP

W-L: 0-0 ERA: 3.86 5 K's

Brad is ahowing why he was drafted in the first round. Although he doesnt have a win yet, he does have 2 quality starts. ETA: May/June 2010
Tony Sanchez C Age: 22 B/T: R/R
BA: .261 2 Doubles 3 RBI

Tony is already MLB ready for his defense. He is close to being promoted to AAA. If Ryan Doumit would get dealt, Tony couldstep right in. ETA: August/Sept.2010
Daniel Moskos RP/CP Age: 24 LHP

W-L:0-0 ERA:0.00 4 Svs

Danny will always have the stigma of Matt Weiters over his head, but he is turning into a great closer. He is also on the verge of being promoted to AAA. ETA: Sept 2010
Gorkys Hernandez OF Age: 22 B/T: R/R
BA: .048 1 Double 2 RBI

One of the fastest players in the Pirates organization, Gorkys can simply fly. He was injured during Spring Training and has not found his groove. ETA: 2011
Bryan Morris SP Age: 23 RHP

W-L: 1-0 ERA: 2.41 11 K's

The centerpiece of the Jason Bay trade, Morris had a rought 1st season in the Pirates organization. He is quickly developing and will probably take Brad Lincoln's spotin AAA when he is promoted to Pittsburgh. ETA: 2011
Tim Alderson SP Age: 21 RHP

W-L: 0-2 ERA: 5.27 12 K's

Tim is struggling this season. He was the player that was acquired for Freddy Sanchez. Tim is working on some new pitches, and he hasn't gotten any offensive support this season. ETA: Late 2011/2012
Starling Marte OF Age: B/T: R/R
BA: .300 6 Doubles 2 RBI 10 Runs

Marte has all of the tools of a major league outfielder right now. He needs some seasoning, andis working his way up the ladder. He may be promoted to AAA soon. ETA: Late 2011/2012
